Course Duration

Business Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Social Sciences, Humanities  and Arts Certificate Course

Our Certificate course is designed as a one year program. [ There is no certificate course for Economics ] There are a total of 6 subjects. The course is divided into 2 major units, with each unit representing one semester of 15 credit hour. The total credit hour for a certificate course is 30 credit hour. Students are expected to complete a minimum of 20 credit hour before he/she is considered successful. See details as follows;

Semester One = 3 Subjects , followed by end of semester examination Semester Two = 3 Subjects, followed by final examination leading to the award of Certificate in your chosen course.

Associate Degree

Associate Degree is designed as a 2 years program. There are a total of 12 Subjects. The course is divided into 4 units, with each unit representing one academic semester of 21 credit hour. The total credit hour for Associate degree is 84 credit hour. Students are expected to cover a minimum of 60 credit hour before he/she is considered successful. See the following details;

Year One – Semester One – Unit One = 3 subjects with end of semester examination.

Year One – Semester Two – Unit Two = 3 subjects, with end of semester examination.

Year two – Semester one – Unit Three = 3 subjects, with end of semester examination.

Year two – Semester two – Unit Four = 3 subjects, followed by final examination leading to the award of Associate Degree in your chosen course.

Students may complete their studies in less than 2 years or more, depending on how soon they pass the required examinations.

Bachelor degree

Bachelor degree program has been reviewed and re-designed as a 4 years (instead of 3 years) program for Business Management, Social Sciences & Art, and 5 years (instead of 4 years) program for Engineering and Information Technology courses. There are a total of 14 subjects, with student project work in form of thesis [dissertation] as the 15th subject. The subjects are divided into 4 units for Business Management, Social Sciences and Arts, 3 units for Engineering and Information Technology, with each unit representing one academic year of 32 credit hour for Business Management, Social Sciences and Arts. 30 credit hour for Engineering and Information Technology. Each unit is also divided into 2 sub-unit, with each sub - unit also representing one semester of 16 credit hour for Business Management, Social Sciences and Arts, and 15 credit hour for Engineering and Information Technology. The total credit hour for a bachelor degree is 120 credit hour for Business Management, Social Sciences and Arts, and 150 credit hour for Engineering and Information Technology. . Students are expected to cover a minimum of 100 credit hour for Business Management, Social Sciences and Art, and 120 credit hour for Engineering and Information Technology before he/she is considered successful.

Master Degree

Master degree program is designed as a 2 year program. There are a total of 10 subjects, with student thesis [dissertation] as the 10th subject. The subjects are divided into 2 major units, with each unit representing one academic year of two semesters. The total credit hour for each year is  55 credit hour. Bringing the total credit hour for a master degree to 110 credit hour. Students are expected to cover a minimum of 90 credit hour before he/she is considered successful. To enable you understand it, see the following details;

Year One – Semester One,  3 subjects followed with end of semester examination.

Year One - Semester Two, 2 subjects followed with end of semester examination.

Year  two – Semester One, 2 subjects followed with end of semester examination.  ,

Year two - Semester Two, 2 subjects followed with end of semester examination. 

At the end of semester two – year two, which is the final unit, students are to submit a project work in form of thesis [dissertation] . The project work is expected to be in a floppy disk or CD.

Doctorate degree

Doctorate degree program is designed as a 2 year program There are a total of 8 subjects, with student thesis [dissertation] as the 8th subject. The subjects are divided into 2 major units, with each unit representing one academic year  of 45 credit hour. The total credit hour for a doctorate degree is 96 credit hour. Students are expected to cover a minimum of 80 credit hour before he/she is considered successful. To enable you understand it, see the following details;

Year One, There are 4 subjects for the first year, to be followed with end of the year  examination.

Year Two, There are 3 subjects for the second year  to be followed with end of the year examination. At the end of semester two in year two – which is the final unit, students are to submit a project work in form of thesis [dissertation] . The project work is expected to be in a book form, to be submitted in 2 copies. Doctorate degree project work is very important. The thesis could also be submitted in a floppy disk, or CD.

Four years for Bachelor degree in Business Management, Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts, and applied sciences,

Five years for Bachelor degree in Engineering and Information Technology,

Two years for Master degree,

Two years for Doctorate degree,
