Accreditation and Authentication
Abraham Lincoln International University is accredited by International Business Education
Commission (IBECOM). All our
degrees are issued under the seal of the great state of Florida , and
can be authenticated at any American Embassy or Consulate General in
your country.
Accreditation is not generally practiced in
countries outside of the US , since Ministries of Education in the
various countries regulate their own colleges and universities. It is
a voluntary process and means of self regulation only practiced in
the US . Many American prestigious universities are not accredited,
not because of lesser quality educational system, but other reasons
that are peculiar to such universities.
The US government does not control or regulate
colleges, universities, or accreditation associations except in
connection with the reimbursement of tuitions fees to students who
qualify for these funds. There are no federal enabling laws which
allow colleges or accreditation associations to function. There are
only for-profit and not – for – profit organizations who make their
own rules and regulations, and who frequently screen institutions of
higher learning that apply to it for membership and accreditation,
because of the competition for students enrollment that looms very
large on residence schools.
Council for Higher Education Association [CHEA] is
one of such privately operated accreditation body, but wields
tremendous power over accreditation of colleges and universities in
US, more often than not, they accredit mostly traditional
universities with campuses and over twenty five operational years.
